1. About this notice
This Privacy Notice explains how FINALEADS LLC (operating under the trading name “French Corpus LLM”, referred to in this notice as “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects Personal Data of:
- Visitors of www.frenchcorpus.com;
- Prospective customers and partners who write to us, attend a meeting or respond to our outreach;
- Customers who license our data products or commission custom engagements;
- Marketplace consumers whose contact details are shared with us by Snowflake Marketplace or an equivalent data marketplace where one of our listings is published.
This notice does not describe the content of our data products. Statements about what our datasets contain and the licence terms under which they are distributed are kept in the separate Dataset Data Sheet and in the dataset card shipped with every release.
2. Who we are
The controller of Personal Data described in this notice is:
FINALEADS LLC
30 N Gould St, Ste R
Sheridan, WY 82801
United States of America
Privacy enquiries: privacy@frenchcorpus.com
General contact: contact@frenchcorpus.com
FINALEADS LLC is incorporated in the State of Wyoming, United States of America. We operate internationally and process Personal Data of individuals located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and the United States, among others. Where the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) applies under its Article 3(2), this notice describes how we comply with it.
3. Personal Data we collect
We collect a small set of Personal Data, organised in the following categories:
- Prospect & partner contact data. When you write to us through one of the email addresses on this site, attend a meeting or respond to outbound outreach: full name, professional email address, employer name and job title, the content of your communications.
- Customer & billing data. When your organisation enters into a paid engagement with us: contact details of designated technical and commercial counterparts, signatory identity for the contract, billing details required for invoicing, bank routing details required for wire payments, tax identifiers where required by local law.
- Marketplace consumer data. Where we list a product on the Snowflake Marketplace or an equivalent data marketplace, Snowflake (or the operator of that marketplace) provides us with limited information about consumers who request or transact with our listings, including business contact details. We process this data strictly in accordance with the Snowflake Provider and Consumer Terms and this notice.
- Website & technical data. When you visit www.frenchcorpus.com, our hosting provider receives standard server logs (IP address, browser identifier, page accessed, timestamp) for the purpose of operating the site and protecting it against abuse. We may set strictly necessary cookies to ensure basic functionality, and, only with your consent, additional cookies for analytics or preference storage. See Section 6 below.
We do not knowingly process special categories of Personal Data (GDPR Article 9), and we do not solicit such data from prospects, customers or visitors.
4. How we use Personal Data
- To respond to enquiries, schedule meetings and scope potential engagements.
- To negotiate, sign and perform commercial agreements, including the delivery of datasets and the execution of custom engagements.
- To issue invoices and receive payments, and to meet tax, accounting and statutory record-keeping obligations.
- To provide ongoing customer support, including handling questions about the datasets, the pipelines, and the licence chain.
- To communicate occasionally about product updates, regulatory changes affecting our customers and significant releases. We only send commercial marketing communications where this is permitted by the applicable law (notably, on the basis of legitimate interest in a B2B context, or with your consent where required).
- To protect www.frenchcorpus.com against abuse, fraud and unauthorised access.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations and to defend or assert legal claims.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases (GDPR Article 6):
- Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) for customer and billing data, and for delivering datasets you have ordered.
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) for replying to your business enquiries, sending occasional product updates in a B2B context, securing our systems, and analysing aggregated website usage.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for non-essential cookies and for any marketing communication that is not based on legitimate interest.
- Compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) for accounting records, tax declarations and any disclosure required by an applicable supervisory authority.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use a limited set of cookies on www.frenchcorpus.com. Strictly necessary cookies are used to operate the site, remember your cookie consent choices and serve secure pages. Optional cookies are only set after you give consent through the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies or by re-opening the consent preferences from the banner. If you reject all optional cookies, the site remains fully functional.
7. Who we share Personal Data with
We do not sell Personal Data. We only share it with a small set of subprocessors who help us operate the business, each bound by an appropriate data processing agreement.
- o2switch (Auvergne, France) — hosting of www.frenchcorpus.com and the associated email infrastructure. Data is stored within the European Union.
- Snowflake Inc. (United States, with regional deployment options) — once a dataset is listed on the Snowflake Marketplace, Snowflake hosts the data delivery and provides limited consumer-listing information to us. The deployment region selected for each listing is documented in the listing description.
- Cloud compute providers in the European Union — used for building and curating our datasets. This subprocessor relationship concerns only operational data necessary to run the platform.
- Professional advisors — lawyers, accountants and tax advisors bound by professional confidentiality obligations, used on a need-to-know basis.
- Authorities — where required by an applicable law, court order or regulatory request.
A current list of subprocessors is available on request at privacy@frenchcorpus.com.
8. How long we keep Personal Data
- Prospect and partner contact data: up to 36 months after the last meaningful interaction, then deleted or anonymised.
- Customer and billing data: for the duration of the contractual relationship plus the statutory record-keeping period applicable to commercial and tax records in our jurisdiction (typically 7 to 10 years).
- Marketing list: until you unsubscribe, or up to 24 months after the last engagement, whichever is sooner.
- Website server logs: up to 12 months for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
- Cookie consent records: as required to evidence consent under applicable law, typically 13 months.
9. International transfers
FINALEADS LLC is established in the United States. Our website and pipeline infrastructure are hosted in the European Union (France). Personal Data may therefore be transferred between the EEA, the United Kingdom and the United States. Where such a transfer requires an appropriate safeguard under Chapter V of the GDPR, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914/EU) or, where the recipient is certified, on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
10. Your rights
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you have the following rights, subject to the conditions set out in those regulations:
- Right of access to your Personal Data and to a copy of it.
- Right to rectification of inaccurate Personal Data.
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), where one of the grounds in Article 17 applies.
- Right to restrict processing, where one of the grounds in Article 18 applies.
- Right to data portability, where the processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means.
- Right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, including direct marketing.
- Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EEA Member State or UK region of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA”) gives you the right to know what Personal Information we collect, to access and obtain a copy of it, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of Personal Information (we do not sell or share Personal Information as those terms are defined in the CCPA). You may exercise these rights free of charge and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
To exercise any of these rights, please write to privacy@frenchcorpus.com. We will respond within one month for GDPR requests and within forty-five days for CCPA requests, as those regulations require. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
11. Security, children and changes
Security. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encryption in transit, and segregation of customer billing data from operational systems. No security measure is perfect; if we become aware of a breach involving your Personal Data, we will notify you and the competent supervisory authority as required by the applicable law.
Children. Our products and services are aimed at organisations and professional users. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from individuals under the age of 16.
Changes to this notice. We will update this notice when our practices change. The version number and last-updated date at the top of the page reflect the latest revision. For material changes, we will notify customers and registered contacts by email.
